Here's what's going on ......
NERAASA 2025 starts on Friday February 21st. This year the Service Assembly is totally Virtual. As of today, registration is still open. It runs Friday thru Sunday and, if you've ever participated, you know it's well worth it. Service is a core principle of AA, and a vital part of recovery.
This Saturday there is a special Group Anniversary Celebration for the three Voorheesville groups. It's normally held each year on a Wednesday evening before Christmas - to remind you of what a fantastic event this is.
This month's Delegate Connection is on the 24th - it's a short month. Don't miss it.
The Area 48 Technology Committee is meeting on Wednesday February 26th. Tech is always looking for new members, so please consider checking it out - no obligation. Remember, so much of A.A. today is digital; most everything is online in some form or another. If we are to continue to carry the message in today's world we need help. You don't have to be technical to help out. We can train you in new skill areas; you will be amazed before you're halfway through!
The Capital Region Area of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (CRAYPAA) is holding its 3rd Annual Winter Extravaganza on March 1st in Saratoga Springs. Here's what's on deck: Meeting | Food | Music | Fellowship | Raffle | Prizes | Elections | YPAAs. It's gonna be CRAY, CRAY so make sure you get there!
Finally, the Area will hold its Fellowship Day on March 15th. It's hosted this year by District 3 at the world-renowned Gallagher's Banquet Hall in Cairo, NY. As with all Area Events - it's Hybrid.
The CDCO is in need of volunteers. These positions focus on the website, newsletter, literature, and tracking events. Please help - we could sure use some.

Thanks Carol A. for your Service!
The Capital District Central Office wishes to express our profound gratitude to Carol A. upon her retirement from her Night Owl position. The Night Owl handles helpline calls during hours the office is closed - mostly overnight, and often taking calls at all hours. Being available to answer a call for help at 4:00 am is a remarkable way of exercising responsibility when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help........
Carol has been with CDCO since our humble beginnings back in 2005 at the Schuyler Inn; in Menands, NY. Carol initially served an office volunteer, and then later became a Night Owl. During this time she has been instrumental in helping hundreds of people seeking help with meeting information, rides, or just needing someone reassuring to talk with.
We have been blessed to have had Carol carrying the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to so many in need.
