During "Announcements" at any of the AA meetings you attend, please consider mentioning the Area's BTG web site. it is very user friendly for folks to sign up as BTG volunteers. They are not sponsors, they are an initial contact to help someone become acclimated to the local AA meetings, upon release from a treatment facility or the jail.
The volunteer receives the individuals' phone number, name, and address. We are in need throughout all of Area 48 - this is not just for Albany; and folks can specify if they prefer to connect with those being released from treatment and/or corrections.

Connecting with Love, Unity, and Service is the theme of this year's NENY Area 48 Convention; the A.A. event of the year. It represents an opportunity to strengthen your connection to A.A., enhance your recovery, and join in fellowship with others.
|
If you haven't been lately - or, especially if you've never attended, please don't pass up the opportunity to join in. You will not regret it.

The Area Convention needs your support this year. Please consider attending. Better yet, reserve a room and stay at the Marriott Albany, a remarkable hotel and vacation destination.
A room this year is just $139.00 per night. The Area has managed to keep room prices the same as they were last year in Utica, NY.
Please come and experience what will be an unforgettable event of your recovery journey.
|
If you have never been to this event previously, you're in for a great treat.

The Event program is out and is on the convention website. You can reach the site by clicking any image or button in this newsletter which relates to the convention.
