Here's what's going on........

Coming up on Saturday the 20th is the Area 48 Election Assembly in Whitesboro, NY and it's Hybrid too- so no excuses for missing it. This is the time when area service positions are up for those interested in committing to A.A. service. Please refer to the registered voting guidelines on the Area website.
|
The monthly NENY Area 48 Technology Committee will meet on Wednesday the 24th at 7:00 PM. Technology plays a critical role in our ability to carry the message and help another alcoholic. Come see, you'll be amazed. A good deal of tech service can be done remotely, btw.

A complete weekend starts of with the celebration of 60 amazing years by the Lake Placid Paradox Group on Friday the 26th, which is followed the next afternoon by Big Billy's Chili cook-off. To top off the weekend is an incredible 80th anniversary celebrated by the Oneonta Sunday Night group. That's a some good eating sandwiched between a whole lot of A.A. sobriety. The familiar Women's Speaker Jam is at the Ryan house in Saugerties on Tuesday the 30th. Come hungry, leave empowered.

October kicks off on the 5th with District 5's Spooky Halloween Dance in Saratoga Springs. Then get ready for the year's biggest event - the 2025 NENY Area 48 Annual Convention in Johnston, NY beginning on another spooky night - Friday October 31st. Make sure you visit the website and register early.
|
Moving into November we'll see two great events. The Young People's ESCYPAA Annual event is at the Holiday Inn in Binghamton, NY November 14th - 15th. This is always a spectacular event. And a wonderful workshop; "The Right to be Wrong Traditions Workshop" will be held in Shokan, NY on November 15th - it's hosted by District 16.
