The next few weeks are full of events to keep you busy until we reach Daylight Saving Time on March 8th. There will be a kickoff Speaker Exchange in District 13 this week. This Exchange follows the "Bookers Meeting" conducted by Ulster Districts 15, 16, and 7 last year. The Hudson Valley Young People in AA will be hosting "The Platonathon," a panel on platonic and familial relationships in recovery, this Friday. Sunday features the Capital Region Young People in AA business meeting, along with the new Monthly Traditions Workshop hosted by Area 48's virtual District 20.
If bowling is your game, head out to Rotterdam, NY, on Saturday, Feb. 14th for a meeting and bowling in District 14. There will be a Valentine's Dance on Monday the 16th in Albany. Another major upcoming event is NERAASA, held in Portland, ME, from February 20–22. We hope you are headed up that way!

Take a moment to think about how much of A.A. exists outside of a traditional in-person meeting. A.A. has so much to offer via your phone, tablet, or computer. This digital presence does not happen by accident; helping to carry the message this way is a vital avenue of A.A. service. Please consider attending the Area 48 Tech Committee on Wednesday, February 25th at 7:00 p.m.—online, of course. Even if you believe your tech skills are lacking or nonexistent, you can help, and we can teach you.

If you are a GSR, you owe it to yourself and your group to attend the monthly GSR Forum on Sunday, March 1st. Additionally, mark your calendars for the Delegate's Day of Sharing on Saturday, March 28th, in Cairo, NY. Everyone is welcome, and if you are a GSR, it is the place to be!

Finally, way out there in both time and distance, is the Eastern Area Convention of Young People in AA - EACYPAA. It's hosted by the New Jersey Young People in AA at Harrah's in Atlantic City. The event starts on March 26th.
