One Day at a Time — Even in the Summer Sun.

Summer brings longer days, AA picnics, and family gatherings — and for those of us in recovery, these moments are a chance to walk the walk. Showing up the way we now do at a cookout, enjoying a holiday weekend with loved ones, or laughing with our home group at a summer picnic — these are the moments where the program really comes alive.

Easy does it. Take it all in, one day at a time, and let this season be proof of how far the program has brought you.

The Capital District Central Office is here every day, all season long. Our service volunteers are here during everyone's summer break, always carrying the message. One day, one sunrise, one long night..... one helpline call at a time.

Now, here's what's going on.....

If you are currently managing your district's website, or you are interested in doing such service, there is a new knowledge community being formed. The Area 48 Tech Committee is sponsoring a roundtable which hopes to bring together persons throughout Area 48 to share their experience, and to learn from others about website best practices, challenges, and solutions.

Join to learn, share, or just listen in. The only requirement is an interest in how technology can help carry the message.

Also, coming up soon is the annual New York State Informational Workshop [NYSIW]. This year it's being held in Stoney Point, NY. Make sure you have your travel arrangements in place. Ask anyone who has participated in this event and you'll learn what a valuable experience it can be.
