The NENY 2022 Area 48 Convention was held Nov. 4 - 6 in Poughkeepsie, NY. It was a resounding success. The area hasn't released numbers yet, but 300+ persons registered for this Hybrid event. The CDCO was well represented as were all our the CDCO districts. The Workshops, Panels, Speakers, and various meetings were excellent. The Area 48 Technical Committee did a spectacular job in bringing the Hybrid format to life and 90+ persons were able to attend remotely for various sessions.

Next year's convention is Nov. 3 - 5 in Utica, NY at the Marriott Delta Hotel. Be on the lookout for information in the coming year.

Speaking of technology, please keep in mind that NENY Area 48 has a Technology Committee which meets the third Tuesday of each month. This is an excellent way to participate in a type of service that is sure to broaden your horizons. Details are outlined in the Technology Committee Flyer below. Please plan on joining - you don't have to be a techie - we need help all around - plus, we can make you a techie.

Coming up later this month is the 78th Anniversary of the Original Troy Group - one of the area's oldest groups. Don't miss the Thanksgiving Alcathon sponsored by District 18. It's at a new location in East Greenbush this year. Check it out - you just know it's great.

The CDCO Monthly Reports:

Each month the Central Office publishes its operating reports. These include our financial report, meeting minutes, our literature report, and call reports relating to the volume, location, and type of calls. If you are interested, please check these out:

The CDCO is always in need of volunteers to help carry the message. You may know that we provide helpline services 24x7x365, but did you know that we are staffed entirely by A.A. volunteers? Please consider doing service in the coming year.

Our volunteers occasionally need to take time off and we could certainly use some backups to answer the phone in the evening, or pitch in at the CDCO during office hours.
