During the1stweekendof eachNovember, Area 48 comes together to share all that’s great about our fellowship.
The atmosphere of the convention is incredible. Be prepared to find friendship and laughter. You will learn more about A.A. than you thought possible in a weekend.
Have you ever attended the banquet at the Area 48 convention? If you have, you know the fellowship is the most delicious part of the meal. If you haven't, there are a few things to consider when making your decision to attend:
-The committee has worked tirelessly to bring these options to you at the best possible price.
-When you factor in the hotel costs, the banquet and room are equivalent to the prices last year.
-Inflation has impacted all dining, including banquet and outside restaurant prices
-Part of being self supporting is meeting contractual obligations, and banquet tickets help us do that!
As always, we need you more than your banquet purchase; but if you're able to, please join for food, fun, and fellowship at banquet
You participation in the Saturday Luncheon would also go a long way toward helping Area 48 meet its contractual commitments with our host hotel.
Take advantage of the Early Bird registration period to book. In 2023 the convention hotel ran out of room space offered at the discounted Area 48 rate.
The 2024 NENY Area 48 Convention will be both enlightening and rewarding.
Connecting with Love, Unity, and Service
We practice Step 12 through the actions of love and service which AA co-founder Dr. Bob Smith considered to be the essence of the Steps.
The suggestions for achieving unity are the Twelve Traditions;
The suggestions for service are described in Twelve Concepts for World Service, The AA Service Manual and Alcoholics Anonymous Comes of Age.
