1. What is the Delegate’s Questionnaire?

The Delegate’s Questionnaire is a tool created by Area 48 to gather group feedback on selected General Service Conference agenda items. Each year, there are over 80 agenda items, making collecting input on all of them difficult. To encourage participation, the NENY Delegate selects specific agenda items they believe will engage and interest the Area, putting them together in the Delegate’s Questionnaire for group response.

2. Why is it important?

The Delegate’s Questionnaire gives your group a voice in shaping policies and decisions that impact A.A. By participating, your group helps ensure that your Delegate can carry an informed group conscience to the General Service Conference.

3. Who completes the questionnaire?

GSRs typically discuss the questionnaire with their group members during a specially-called group conscience meeting to collect feedback. Individual questionnaire submissions will not be accepted. I am primarily interested in hearing from groups.

4. What if my group can’t discuss all the questionnaire items?.

It’s okay to prioritize items that are most relevant to your group. While feedback on as many questionnaire items as possible is appreciated, it’s better to provide thorough input on a few key items than rushed feedback on all items.

5. Where can we get background information about the agenda items?.

The Delegate’s Day of Sharing (DDoS) Hybrid, Saturday, April 5, 2025, is a day dedicated to sharing background information on the agenda items selected for the Delegate’s Questionnaire. There will be a Q&A session after each presentation. This event is designed to provide GSRs with the necessary context to use their Right of Decision, if needed, and change their group’s vote with the additional information provided.
